So what is exactly is YoSys
YoSys is a complete HDL sysnthesis and optimisation tool.
For the impatient, here’s how to get YoSys built and installed.
~ $ git clone https://github.com/cliffordwolf/yosys.git ~ $ cd yosys ~/yosys/ $ make config-release ~/yosys/ $ make ~/yosys/ $ sudo make install
Quick-build - Project IceStorm
~ $ git clone git clone https://github.com/cliffordwolf/icestorm.git icestorm ~/icestorm/ $ cd icestorm ~/icestorm/ $ make -j8 ~/icestorm/ $ sudo make install
Quick-build - Arachne-PNR (Place and Route tool for Ice FPGA’s used in tutorials).
